Petra Cliffs Climbing Center recognizes that the sport of climbing has not historically been accessible to everyone. System barriers like cost, transportation, exclusion/erasure of the BIPOC community in the outdoors, and others exist. While Petra Cliffs is only one small piece of the outdoor industry, we continue to strive to create more opportunities for folks of all ages, sizes, and backgrounds in our programs.
One way we are trying to increase diversity in the outdoors is by reducing cost for our programs through scholarships, both internal and through partnerships.
