Recreational Team
Recreational team focuses on building basic climbing technique while having fun and learning to climb and belay safely. This team is perfect for climbers who love the camaraderie and education of climbing team, but who are not interested in competing.
A climbing team for kids who are curious about climbing, new to Petra Cliffs team programs, or can’t commit to a year-round team program. Our goals for this season include making a structured but fun atmosphere for kids to learn new climbing skills, including belaying in a supervised setting.
Ages: 8 to 13
When: 3:30 to 5:30 on Mondays & Wednesdays
6- to 7-week sessions during the school year.*
*(Follows the BSD calendar for snow days & school breaks)
Includes:
Instruction & gear rentals during practice
Membership with gear through end of the session
Free belay lesson for parent/guardian
