Kristen Fiore

After years of wall-crawling at Petra, Kristen finally joined the staff in 2016 to coach the Youth Climbing Team and help with route setting. Her favorite holds to play with are small and crimpy, although their tendons prefer slopers, so she’s often searching the hold bins for one of the two. Indoors, Kristen spends much of her time bouldering, but outside prefers tying in and hanging high. Her favorite climbs are those not yet authored, preferring an unclimbed lichen-covered face to the well-traveled classics. If you can't find a partner for some far away rock that hasn't ever been climbed, give her a call. When not climbing, Kristen is a summer camp director in New York and copy editor. Kristen is a loving parent of one beautiful canine daughter named Knuckles, who likes to hang out at Petra Cliffs in the evenings.
