Rock Transitions I
Now what? You have been indoors all winter. How do you transition from the gym to the cliffs? Take the skills you’ve learned and apply them to real rock. Learn how different, yet similar they both are.

Introduction to Rock Climbing
Real rock offers real challenges! Move beyond gym climbing onto the authentic element. Experience the basics of rock climbing in a no-pressure and fun-filled atmosphere. You will learn climbing knots, and belay and climbing techniques. We provide expert instruction and guidance so that all you need to do is climb, climb, climb!

Rock Climbing Technique
Rock climbing takes more than a buff upper body. It requires flexibility, balance and gracefulness. Fine- tuning your body movements will open up a whole new world of climbing. Learn in one day what would take you a whole season to learn by trial and error. This course intended for experienced indoor climbers and folks with limited outdoor time.

Women Rock!
It has nothing to do with being anti-man. Only everything to do with being pro-woman! Spend a day rock climbing with women and instructed by women. Learn tips and techniques that will work for a female body only. Open to all women of all abilities.

Two-Day Top-Rope Set-Up and Belay AnchorsTwo-Day
This course is essential for anyone planning to head out on his or her own! Learn how to build bomb proof anchors, pro tips and tricks and develop a method for evaluating anchors. This course covers everything from knots, safe building techniques, top belays, “sling shot” belays, and site safety and management. Each participant will have ample opportunities to build dozens of anchors over the weekend gathering vast amount of experience. This course is not only for folks whom are new to the sport but veteran climbers who wish to update their bag of tricks and learn the industries most current standards.

Bouldering 101
Quick, powerful movements using strength and agility define bouldering. Smugglers Notch, Vermont is an unlimited playground for this growing sport and classroom for this clinic. Build strength, endurance, and route reading skills during this clinic as the locals show you around.

Intro to Traditional Climbing Clinic
For intermediate to expert climbers. Come out for a fun day on the rocks and learn the basics of traditional climbing. We’ll spend a day climbing at some of the area’s best cliffs and learn the fundamentals of placing cams, nuts, and other protection while on the sharp end. This is the perfect course is for the gear junkie in all of us and a great way to learn the basics in a fun, hands on environment!

Family Climbing Day
Spend a day sharing an exciting and challenging experience. Let us expose your family to the thrill of rock climbing and some of the most spectacular views in the area. Price includes a guide and equipment for one Adult and Child pair. Additional family members can be added for $45 for each additional child or $55 for each additional adult.

Rumney Rocks
Rumney, NH has become the east coast sport climbing mecca. With climbs to challenge the sports elite as well as folks new to clipping bolts, it is a must-climb destination. Let the pros at Petra Cliffs show you around and help you push your limits on the sharp end. This is a great next step for anyone who has completed either our Co Ed II or Women’s II clinics. This course includes our expert guides, all equipment and transportation from Petra Cliffs Climbing Center to Rumney and back. 1:4 guide to student ratio.

ADK Crag Day
The Adirondack Park is roughly the size of New Hampshire and offers a lifetime of climbing ascents on hundreds of crags. Join Petra Cliffs guides as they take you on a tour on New York's finest granite. Visit NY’s classic crags such as The Beer Walls, Jewels & Jems, Creature Wall and the perfect splitters of the Spiders Web. Let our NY licensed guides show their favorite places to climb in the northeast! Cathedral Classics
If Rumney is the east coast destination for sport climbing, then Cathedral and White Horse are the destination traditional climbing crags. Cathedral and White Horse has something for everyone from single pitch classics like bombardment, moderate multi pitch routes like Fun house and Upper Refuse, to the 1000’ slabs of the Sliding Board and one of the most exposed stances in the entire Northeast high off the deck on Recom Beast! This course includes our expert guides, all equipment and transportation from Petra Cliffs Climbing Center to Cathedral and back.1:2 guide to student ratio

Cannon Climbs
Long before the Old Man in the Mountain crumbled away Cannon Cliffs have been a beacon to alpinists from around the globe. Full commitment is reward with NH tallest wall and some of the states most majestic views. Try the Whitney Gilman Ridge which was first climbed in 1929 and is even more spectacular today or test your luck scaling Moby Grapes famous “Fickle Finger of Fate”. This course includes our expert guides, all equipment and transportation from Petra Cliffs Climbing Center to Cannon and back.1:2 guide to student ratio (Due to the technical and long nature of the approach, climbs and descents, climbers should be in confident in their physical abilities. Prior multi pitch climbing is not required but strongly recommended.)
